Polk Medical Center is a 25-bed, critical access hospital located in Cedartown, Georgia and serving all of Polk County, Georgia, including the cities of Aragon, Cedartown, Rockmart and Taylorsville. Accredited by The Joint Commission, Polk Medical Center offers primary health care services, long-term care, occupational medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy and rehabilitation services, sleep disorders diagnostics ans a senior enrichment program, all supported by the comprehensive health care provided by Floyd Healthcare Management Inc. A new Polk Medical Center facility is planned for a site on U.S. 278, a more central location for Polk County residents. The new building is expected to be in operation by 2014.

Redmond Regional Medical Center
Redmond Regional Medical Center is a 230 bed acute care facility, serving as a referral source for all of northwest Georgia and parts of Alabama. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Including its healthcare partners, Redmond has over 245 physicians with more than 30 specialties and a support staff of approximately 1,200 associates.
Redmond offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient programs, many of which are unique to the northwest Georgia region. Nationally recognized as a top cardiac care center, lifesaving open-heart surgery is regularly performed at Redmond. The Polk County Health Department
